Farewell "biodiversity giant"

Tragically John La Salle, Director for the Atlas of Living Australia, recently passed away. John was an energetic ambassador for ecosystem science, and his passing is a huge loss to our community. John was an internationally recognised insect taxonomist, and a well-respected leader in our pursuit for scientific solutions to the environmental challenges we face. As a scientist, and as Director of the Atlas of Living Australia, John had an inspiring and impactful life. The Ecosystem Science Council would like to pay tribute to John and his legacy, and pay our respect to his family.
Member of the Ecosystem Science Community are invited to share memories or condolences by emailing ValeJohn@ala.org.au
