Questions to political parties on the environment
The Ecosystem Science Council asks political parties and independents to state their releveant policy positions on six questions important for everyday, practical delivery of environmental stewardship now and into the future. Australia spends hundreds of millions of dollars each year trying to redress past environmental damage, but this is not enough to see real environmental recovery particularly in a changing climate.
The ecosystem science community will be guided by the responses of politicians on how they vote in the 2019 election. All responses will be posted on our website.
